Explore below the various ways of how to get to Dublin
The main gateway is Dublin Airport (around 10 km from the city centre) which serves flights from major European hubs, North America and the Middle East.
In order to reach the city centre after arrival you may take either Aircoach, Dublin Express or Dublin Bus (routes 16,19 & 41). Bus journey takes between 20-45 minutes to get to the city. Alternatively, you may tak a taxi, which takes around 30-40 minutes and costs approximately 35 euros.
Those travelling to Dublin by train will arrive to one of the three main stations in Dublin, Connolly, Heuston and Pearse Station, with each of them having long-distance intercity connections to other counties and Northern Ireland. Once in Dublin, the main stations are convenient for onward transportation.
If you are arriving from the UK is also possible to travel by train & ferry in order to reach Dublin without flying.
If you are arriving from the UK or elsewhere by ferry, you can arrive at Dublin Port. From the port you may get onto bus route 53, with an easy access to the city centre.
Dublin is considered an important destination for cruise lines and arriving by ferry offers a scenic and relaxed way to arrive.
If you are already in Ireland, driving into Dublin is straightforward via the major motorways, such as the M1 coming from the North.
In addition, Ireland offers an extensive network of bus routes with an easy access between Dublin and other cities and Northern Ireland.
